Scoodoos have arrived at St Attracta’s national School in Charlestown Co. Mayo!
Last December Doodoo visited St Attracta’s to do a work shop with first and second classes. Doodoo had great fun meeting all the children and watching them make pots from newspaper and then sowing broad bean seeds in organic peat-free compost.
While Doodoo was at the school the children asked lots of questions about Scoodoos and they knew lots about trees too. Doodoo was very impressed that the children knew that trees help the environment by cleaning the air. Lots of fruits that we eat also come from trees, such as;
And they knew that oranges do not grow in Ireland because it is too cold.
Doodoo had such fun when visiting the school and was so excited when he told other Scoodoo friends about the visit. The Scoodoos thought that is sounded so great that they decided to go and visit St Attracta’s National School and help the children to learn lots more about trees and nature.
Here are some pictures of the Scoodoos in the grounds of St Attracta’s School and you can find out their names too.
