An educational and fun filled event at the National Museum of Country Life in Turlough, near Castlebar, Co. Mayo
March 2013 – September 2013
Scoodoo Sculpture Trail
The Scoodoo Trail feature 18 Scoodoo sculptures placed around the grounds of Turlough House, home to the National Museum of Country life. This is a perfect setting for Scoodoos, where many fine mature trees grow.
Visitors can pick up a leaflet with map from the visitor centre and find the Scoodoos. As you walk around the grounds you can read information about the trees where the Scoodoos appear.
Each Scoodoo has a name, and if you collect all the names and write them down on a map, you can enter into a draw; the prize is a Scoodoo sculpture for you.
There will be lots of information about the trees in Turlough house and the Scodoos too when the trail is open on March 7th.
National Tree Week
The Scoodoo Trail and workshop was held to celebrate National Tree Week, March 3rd- 10th. This is an annual event organised by the Tree Council of Ireland.
